The Office for Students with Disabilities (OSD) works to provide an equitable learning environment for students with disabilities. Our services and programming are available in-person and virtually. They offer several services to assist students with disabilities such as accessible technology, alternative media, alternative testing, deaf & hard of hearing, disability-related counseling, and noted-taking. Disability-related counseling allows OSD Disability Management Specialists/Counselors to support students who are registered with the Office for Students with Disabilities. OSD Disability Management Specialists/Counselors provide individual disability-related advice related to the impact of a student's disability on their academic, career, and personal needs. Disability-related counseling is currently available by appointment or visiting with your Disability Management Specialist/Counselor during their virtual or in-person drop-in hours. The assistance Technology and Learning Center offers support with technology and training on software. The ATLC offers one on one support with technology, you can contact Jose Amenero via email for such service (jose.amenero2@calstatela.edu) for in person or zoom assistance. The ATLC provides support for Alternative Format Requests and assistance with basic software like Microsoft Office. Also located in the Student Services Bldg., #1320.
Alternative Testing is a resource provided to eligible students via OSD. This resource allows for extended time on exams without or little to no distraction. For more information contact Cinthia Romero (osdtesting@calstatela.edu).
OSD Wednesday Workshops are free workshops provided by the OSD for tips and strategies to help students do their best in class. You can attend at 1pm every Wednesday in-person (SSB 4115) or via livestream on zoom (https://calstatela.zoom.us/s/87462407078). A Calendar is posted and updated frequently on their website.

If you are looking for the American cancer society, or the Epileptic society you will find the link here. There are resources for legal help, and employment services. This is a government page that also has resources for parents of children who have disabilities and information about navigating LAX with disabilities. There are many great resources here.
The South Los Angeles Regional Center is a great resource for parents with children with disabilities. This center provides information to parents seeking information on their children under 3 and offers many workshops on things like potty training, positive parenting for challenging behaviors and socializing. They also offer services for children up to 17 years old with more classes on behavior, crisis support and day care. For adults they offer employment programs, day programs, and independent living workshops.
This site offers many great resources for those with physical or mental disabilities. They have information on community integration training which focuses on things like health and wellness, money management, and social skills. DESI offers a program to learn about independent living which focuses on paying bills on time and cleaning and organizing your space. This organization also has a program to help those with autism or developmental disabilities find jobs that fit their skill set.
Los Angeles county development authority has all the information you need on special needs housing. If you or someone you know is a former foster youth, has a mental disability, is a veteran or has HIV/AIDS and needs transitional housing they offer information on how to do that. This site also has information on Section 8 and public housing.
This organization offers many great resources for families. If you or a family member need more information on supportive services Aces-LA can help you out. They can point you in the right direction for screening children for disabilities as well as the Therapy network. ACES really focuses on screening, treating and healing and offers many resources in that direction.
The Independent Living Center of Southern California (ILC) is a non-profit organization that’s been around since 1976. They provide a wide range of services to people with disability including but not limited to Disability Peer Support, Housing Assistance, Advocacy and Testimonials.
